Guitar Chords You Should Learn First: The Update
I’ve been working on mastering these chords. I haven’t mastered them, but it sounds much better than last time!
Here’s what my own strumming rendition of G, Em, C and D7th sounds like now:

I’m happy with the improvement, even though there’s plenty of room to get better. However I’m going to follow VintageP’s advice and move on to something else.
Actually, I’m moving back to “About A Girl.” My motivation is to learn how to sing and play at the same time, and I think this song will make it easy to practice that.

Rock on! You’ve hit on another key element that I continue to go on about and that is measuring progress. Recording youself at various points and comparing through critical listening really helps gauge progress.

Yeah, it’ll be better when the recordings are worth listening too. But measuring progress will definitely help in the long run… and will be great to look back at in a few years. Thanks!
